What is IASME Governance?

IASME Governance (aka Audited IASME Governance), developed by IAMSE, is a standard which provides an equivalent level of information assurance to that provided by the international standard ISO27001, but is an easier standard to implement and maintain for many SMEs.

Much like Cyber Essentials, IASME Governance is becoming a mandatory requirement for UK Government, Welsh Government, and NHS Wales contracts, as well as for supply chains for companies supplying certain products and services.

Bergerode Consulting is an IASME Governance and can help your organisation through the IASME Governance programme.

What does IASME Governance Involve?

IASME Governance contains the five Cyber Essentials areas, but also adds additional areas that relate to people and processes:

  • Risk assessment and management
  • Training and managing people
  • Change management
  • Monitoring
  • Backup
  • Incident response and business continuity

It also requires an on-site audit of the level of information security provided by your organisation.

By gaining IASME Governance your organisation will achieve IASME’s highest level of certification and demonstrate assurance to customers and suppliers that your organisation’s security has been audited by a skilled, independent third-party.
